Answers to common questions about the calculators and the information used on this website.
Is this website official?
No. This website is independently operated and is not affiliated with the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs.
What does the residence calculator estimate?
It estimates whether the dates you enter appear to meet the general residence requirement for Australian citizenship by conferral. It is a guide only.
What dates do I need for the citizenship calculator?
You need your lawful residence date, your permanent residence date, your intended application date, and any absences from Australia in the last 4 years that may affect the estimate.
Do I need exact travel dates?
Exact dates are best. If you intend to travel before lodging, include those dates as well so the estimate reflects your planned absence.
What does the PR points page cover?
It covers the main points categories used for skilled visa pathways and links to subclass-specific pages for 189, 190 and 491.
Does a minimum score guarantee an invitation?
No. A minimum score does not guarantee an invitation. You should also check current official requirements and any state or territory criteria that may apply.
